Dry Ice Blasting

Dry Ice Blasting is a form of media blasting, where pressurized dry ice is used to remove surface contaminates such as dirt, grease, cosmoline undercoatings, paint overspray, corrosion, and many other contaminates.

Benefits of Dry Ice:

  • No Moisture
  • No Abrasives
  • No Disassembly Required!

We can service Cars, Motorcycles, UTVs, Commercial Equipment, Food Trucks, and much more. With Dry Ice, the possibilities to turn back time are more possible than ever.

How Dry Ice Blasting Works:

Dry ice blasting accelerates solid carbon dioxide (CO2) pellets through a pressurized air stream which sublimate on impact. When the subzero dry ice pellets contact the surface, they expand and lift away the residue. This thermal shock not only removes contaminants but also kills bacteria leaving nothing behind.

In the simplest terms, compare sandblasting to a shovel, and dry ice blasting to a spatula. One “digs” into the surface to achieve a result, and one “lifts” the contaminant off the surface, leaving little to no chance of effecting the underlying surface.

Example 1: 1996 Acura Integra Type R

This Wheel Well was contaminated with 25+ years of dirt and contaminants, cosmoline undercoating, and black spray paint. Because of Dry Ice, we are able to strip all contaminants without effecting the original finish. The finished product could be comparable to the condition of the car when delivered new 25+ years ago.
